Shelly Baker and Bell Hooks introduced me to feminism.
Bell Hooks showed me a future free of domination and full of love and freedom.
Shelly Baker has been subject to nearly every injustice a patriarchal system can inflict on a woman.
I love her and I must make the world a better place for her.

From Margin to Center. As a white male in a patriarchal culture, I, like most males, exist in the center. Life in the center is good. Full of opportunity and reward. It's so good, that we in the center rarely see the margins. Most women of the world exist in the margins. It's a bad place to be. There are hundreds of problems out there.

In the center we have been conditioned to perceive life as good, and detractors as crazy, angry radicals. In the center, we have been taught that feminists are man-hating, crazy radicals.

They want to improve their lot in life. This is not crazy.

I can see the margins. It saddens me.

It inspires me.

Why are 9 out of 10 women disatisfied with some aspect of their bodies?
